# Vanuatu

We know Port Vila and Lelepa from our own trip. We have not yet been to Santo or Tanna.

## Vanuatu

Port Vila curves around its harbour: a market, boats and green slopes just behind the town. North-west of Efate lie the low islands of Lelepa and Artok. The story of Chief Roi Mata belongs with them, and those places are still not entered without permission.

## How a trip could take shape.

Choose a place and a month. These outlines show how much time to allow, where to stay and what you could add. We agree the dates, route and cost for your group.

The months are a guide for planning. For Papua New Guinea and the Solomon Islands, we choose dates to suit your route.

### Vanuatu: Efate, Santo and Tanna

Time to allow: 10–14 days. When to go: Timing depends on the islands and flights.

Santo and Tanna are new parts of the route

Add Espiritu Santo and Tanna to Port Vila and Lelepa, which we know from our own travels. Santo has blue holes and beaches; Tanna has the active Yasur volcano.

**Efate · 2–3 days**

Port Vila and a visit to Lelepa. Leave the days around domestic flights loosely planned.

**Espiritu Santo · 4–5 days**

Freshwater blue holes, Champagne Beach and Port Olry. For divers, we choose sites to suit experience and certification.

**Tanna · 2–3 days**

Yasur is the main reason to come. A volcano visit is included only when access is permitted, the weather is suitable and local restrictions can be met.

**Possible additions.** More time on Santo, diving or a stop in Fiji en route. You can choose two islands instead of three.

**Before booking.** We have not yet visited Santo or Tanna. Before proposing the trip, we check local partners, domestic flights and access to Yasur, allowing time for schedule changes.

Durations are planning estimates. Allow extra time for international travel and buffers between island flights. We check flights, accommodation and entry requirements before booking.
