NADI AND SUVA
Fiji
The western coast of Viti Levu is dry and open: cane fields, hills on the horizon, and movement around the airport and the marina. From Port Denarau, boats leave for the Mamanuca and Yasawa islands, volcanic rock with grassy slopes and narrow strips of sand. A village is entered by invitation, and a guest is introduced to the elders first. Nadi is on the west of the island and Suva, the capital, is on the east: the onward flight to Tuvalu leaves from Suva.

Fiji: Sigatoka and the Yasawa Islands

We know Fiji; the itinerary is made for you
Spend a few days on Viti Levu, then head to the Yasawa Islands. On the main island, explore inland and along the river; on the smaller islands, spend time on the beach, reef and water.
Viti Levu · 3–4 days
Nadi and the Coral Coast. One day could be spent with Sigatoka River Safari: a jet boat journey along the river and a village visit with local guides.
Yasawa Islands · 4–6 days
Choose an island and hotel to suit your budget. Stay in one place or divide the time between two islands for swimming, reef snorkelling and boat trips.
Back to Viti Levu · 1–2 days
Allow time to return from the islands before your flight. Add a zipline and waterfall walk at Sleeping Giant, or simply another day by the sea.
Possible additions
The Mamanuca Islands, diving or an onward journey to Tonga. There is no need to fit everything in; leave time to enjoy the sea.
